Game Dev Tycoon - Netflix Edition was an exclusive version of the beloved simulation game, developed by Rarebyte in collaboration with Greenheart Games for the Netflix Games platform. Available from March 2024 to March 2026, this version brought the classic game development experience to Netflix subscribers with exclusive new features: licensed movie-based game development, livestreaming as a marketing channel, new story events, and special reviews.
Responsible for various localization fixes to enhance the game's accessibility across different regions, including adapting name display conventions for different languages. Also addressed bug fixes to improve overall gameplay stability.
Responsible for developing new content, including notifications, random events, and gameplay prerequisites to enrich the player experience.
Responsible for designing and implementing the Movie Licence feature, including the UI, gameplay restrictions, and cooldown balancing system. The feature introduces a new strategic layer allowing players to develop games based on licensed movies and TV shows, working within the constraints of an existing franchise.
